Even without the parts to get the swiveling/leveling, just purchasing the OEM headlight housing for the bi-xenon's would set you back at least $1000. OEM headlight housings are expensive, even if you were just getting replacement halogen housings. U.
Greetings everyone, I have a (in my eyes) a fairly big project that I’m trying to achieve with my 2011 Passat Variant EU. Today, the car is running Halogen headlights / taillights and I’m planning to do an OEM retrofit of the Xenon headlights and LED taillights. Currently I’m scavenging car wrecks who have the OEM Xenon/LED lights.
Yes, it is possible to put HID bulbs in projector headlights but you’ll have to use an HID Conversion Kit. Halogen-compatible areas won’t accommodate xenon HIDs. So, each projector is made to work with a specific type of bulb. You cannot expect a projector to fit or function properly by merely inserting the bulb from an outdated HID kit.

The disclaimer is that our car did not orginally come with bi-xenon. We bought the bi-xenon headlight and retrofitted it. Bi LED Lens come with a sharp cut-off line that makes sure the Zone III is completely dark or un-illuminated by dazzling light. B50L is the driver eye position of the on-coming vehicle and any unwanted light will dazzle the driver and pose a road hazard. 2. Safe for all road user.

1. replace headlights and buy brand new HID lights to go with the headlights and do away with adaptive headlights and bi xenon bulbs. 2. Bake the headlights to remove casing to add angel eyes and replace corner casing to clear (never been good doing things like this. 3.

The OEM xenon lights are completely plug and play. They use D2S bulbs for the low beams and H1 bulbs for the halogen high beams.
I also made coding changes to let car know I have xenon lights, byte 2 bi-xenon without light assist, and byte 6 bit 5-6 xenon shutter installed. You now have properly functioning lights, but you do not have AFS. Opinion: I definitely would not purchase the OEM lights if I was not interested in the AFS functionality. I would use Ed’s lights.
Squeeze the metal loops together until the clips (spring loaded) come out of the groove and then pull slightly towards the rear of the car and slowly let them go. Now, pull out the bulb by the ignitor and unplug. Plug in new bulb and slide it into the project (no twisting or clicking or anything).
